Mental Health!

Hello Sunshine☀️!

Howdy-doody?

Happy August!

“Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also more hard to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say “My tooth is aching” than to say “My heart is broken.” ― C.S. Lewis

Join me as I unravel today's word.

Over time, the catchphrase "mental health" has trended for reasons best known to us.

In the ongoing Olympic Games in Tokyo, several athletes have withdrawn under this guise. No, they didn't quit because they were incapable of putting in the work, but rather, they took their sanity into cognizance. Simone Biles who is one of these athletes said, "I sometimes feel the weight of the world on my shoulder".

Her withdrawal from the games, entertained backlash from sports critics, lovers of sports, and viewers who had stayed glued to their TVs in a bid to watch her perform a mind-blowing gymnastics move. Apparently, her career was seen as entertainment.

The message for today is summed up in this question: Do you know when to call it quits?

We live in a world where negativity is exuded effortlessly. Hence, the need to rest. The day rest becomes a mirage to you, something is wrong. Societal pressures are not fun anywhere.

Apparently, it goes beyond winning to make a happy player.

I hope we all get to the point where we can say enough is enough even in the face of critics.

And to those who are quick to criticize, can you please quit ripping people apart and find a better way to impact the world.

To conclude, when you find yourself in such a situation as this, I pray you to run to your maker who knows more about mental health services more than any human on earth.

3 John 1:2 TPT

Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering.

Remember to live for what will last,

Faith, for the Royal Rubies.
