"Make morning kwik com"

Whooooosh!🤗 It's a little too late and never too late to wish you a happy new year so, kindly accept my wish.  Happy New Year!💃  Welcome aboard! Have you ever looked forward to the dawning of a new day? Or awaited the arrival of daybreak? Why?  Everyone seems to have a valid reason for looking forward. For those in the medical field, IT and security men, where they run shifts, one thing is common to them all. It is the prayer that morning hastily arrives. While growing up in the North Central, it wasn't uncommon to hear sporadic gun battles at night. But there was this hope to see the morning and inquire about what transpired at night. Yes, for me, morning holds a promise that things can get better. The morning sets the tone for the day. We must work the works of Him Who sent Me and be busy with His business while it is daylight; night is coming on, when no man can work . John 9:4 AMPC Well, we all looked forward to this new year and all the promises it holds for us. Th...

2020: Count yo' blessings

Hiya! How has been your day so far? How are the celebrations🎄 going?  Kudos 🎉! You've seen the last Sunday in 2020.👌 Phew! It's been a loooooooong year😪. Hasn't it? Where has 2020 gone?💁😳 Joel Aboderin, thank you Sir!🙇  We all know 2020 was a year like no other. It has been a whole ride🚙. It had several definitions on the lips of many. We all experienced an unexpected turn of events. It’s impossible to talk about this year without discussing our losses — lives, jobs, hope, leadership. When the news🎙 of Covid came, I reckoned it would perch lightly and head out of town almost immediately. Cheerlessly, we all augmented our linguistic repertoire with new lexicons like quarantine, lockdown, entanglement, social distancing, etc.📕 Ooops 😮, no one envisaged the vicious ravage of the world by Mr. Corona. Going out required that you don the obligatory face mask and have a sanitizer with you.  Online learning became a forte for almost everyone. Zoom parties and classes ...

Homecoming

Hi, a beautiful day it is, yeah?👌 December's gradually wrapping up. 2020 has been such a long ride.😶 On today's theme, I'll like to point out how food played a major role in the most famous stories of reconciliation.😋 Indulge me as I begin. ...the fattened calf... The story of the prodigal son is very popular. The focus varies from the wayward lifestyle of the Prodigal son, the Loving welcome of the Father to the somewhat-spiteful older brother who had been labouring on the fields. However, I would like to provoke your thoughts with something my friend, Dawn Of Joy, shared with me. Let's talk about the choice feast, shall we? In Luke 15:23&27, there is a repetition of THE FATTENED CALF not just a fattened calf but THE . In English parlance, THE is a definite article used to denote certainty. From this, we can infer that the Father had anticipated the return of His estranged son, and so He tended THE fattened calf with such grand hopes. The Father gave up the...

Faith

Hello there,🙂 How has the month been?🤔 Hope you still remember to catch your breath? I crave your attention as we delve into today's tidbit. Recently, I read through Matthew 14:25-33 with a group of friends and what stood out for me was simply: BIG MOVES DON'T ALWAYS PROVE GREAT FAITH . You see that man named Peter, he deserves additional respect from us. We're always too hasty to jump on him for shifting his gaze from Jesus for a bit. How about the other disciples who sat in the boat and watched all these transpire? Have you tried speculating what was going on through their minds?   Peter stepped out of the boat. He was the only one who did. We mustn't judge Peter whilst we're still seated in the boat. As for me, I'd rather step onto the water with Christ than spend the rest of my life wondering "what if" I had stepped out like my friend, Peter .  A few of the disciples had families, yeah? Just imagine them having a family time and the kids inquire ...

Demands

Image
Hi there! 🙂 Happy New Month.💃 God has been good, yeah?🤗 As today's topic is introduced, take some time, and search your heart.🤔 Have you read through these books of the Bible? Isaiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Micah, Obadiah...? What did you find? The Lord kept bemoaning the attitude of His Beloved. Did you read the demands He made of these prophets? Did they seem absurd to you? Well, God still makes demands of us. These demands, though tough, aren't grievous. It varies with individuals from putting a call through, to mend a fence or praying for someone who hurt you. How do you respond to these demands? Do you hear and listen or just hear? It is essential that to move with God, we submit to his demands . Reading through the books of these prophets, I couldn't help but wonder how the prophets carried out those demands. Think back to how you felt when someone required your time or money or reassurance? How did you feel? Did you feel inconvenienced? It is the same way God makes dem...

Growing Up: A Scam

Image
Hiya! A pleasant day it is, ain't it? How has it been at your end? I hope you still remember to smile and cut yourself some slack? Today's topic resonates with many of us. Very recently, I clocked a year. Prior to this, I'd always believed growing up to be a scam. I'm glad to point out that this is quietly changing. Nonetheless, that doesn't excuse society for making demands of me before I was prepared. I was told to go to school and gain an education. All glory to God, I passed through the primary, secondary and the so-much talked about tertiary institution. Along the way, I was told when I grow up, the jigsaw puzzle would somehow fit. Well, I have no words for this. Maybe 'cause I'm still growing. All I have is a certain level of distrust against the system. Reasonably, I'm discovering that growing up is an opportunity to become relevant and make an impact in the scheme of things . We were such in a haste to grow up and we had no inkling that we were, ...

Resurgence

Hi there, it's been a lovely day, yeah? Hang on a minute while I introduce today's topic.👌 Times are changing and so are we. It is no news to anyone about the unpleasant happenings in Nigeria.🇳🇬 Sometime last month, Nigerians took to the streets to protest against the cruel treatment received from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad . Refusing to be imprisoned by several hand-me-down favours from the Nigerian Big Men , the struggle intensified. As the struggle continued, we awaited some form of comment from the President but as that delayed in coming, the youths became edgy. Without entertaining any form of distraction, the struggle became more real as several Nigerians who had suffered from the inhumane treatments meted out by these operatives, retold their stories. These stories were relatable and this triggered the youths to heighten their undertaking. Sadly, the government considered this demand as irrational and opened fire on its citizens. This dastard act infuriated the he...
